Forget all about active holidays or water parks! We've found a number of campsites in Denmark for those in need of some serious R&R in the midst of a hectic autumn work schedule.
Your summer holiday is now such a far distant memory that the last remaining positive effects have long left your body, and it’s time to start thinking about something other than work and everyday stresses again. Many people find they are extra busy in the period following the long summer holiday, when they have to catch up on all the things they didn’t get done before the summer.
And for complete relaxation, we recommend heading for a campsite in Denmark, where you are guaranteed peace and quiet – places where you get away from noise and unnecessary activity.
So on our website, you can find campsites that are ideal for people looking for total relaxation.
To qualify as a campsite under the Danish Camping Board’s “Peace and quiet” theme, the site must have sectioned areas as a natural limitation to driving on the site. In addition, there must be areas with good vegetation and a limited number of play facilities – and these are primarily for young children, who might also be grandchildren, as guests staying at these sites are not always the youngest. If there is a pool, bathing times for the more mature guests must be clearly marked.
There must be a common room where you can play cards or bingo, and the terrain must be suitable for elderly and disabled guests.
These campsites will be located in scenic areas, with marked rambling trails, and the site should offer group excursions with activities such as mushroom picking or exhibitions.
And for dinner, there must be well-appointed barbecue areas with both tables and benches.
There are no fewer than 62 campsites of this kind in Denmark, so we’re pretty sure that there is at least one that will tick your boxes.
